Validators

Mainnet runs a 21-validator root set for production Velocity while canary and testnet rehearse the same operator, staking, and evidence flows at lower throughput targets.

Activation gate

The current Velocity mainnet launch gate requires 21 active root validators, 15 quorum, preserved allocation binding, public operator attestations, and provider/ASN/region distribution evidence.

The network can be active before it is fully decentralized. Public decentralized labeling is separate from block production and requires the independent operator roster, stake distribution, provider distribution, ASN distribution, region distribution, and attestation URL checks to pass.

Operator flow

Generate an HMR, MHR, or ENR identity in the wallet, bind the validator DID to that lineage, stake the required bond, launch sigil-node, and verify activation through public RPC.

Third-party validators should use dedicated infrastructure, independent key custody, and a public operator record. Linode StackScripts are planned for one-click node bootstrap after the live networks and docs are stable.
